The Tower Of London
The Tower of London have introduced three brand new guided tours which are ideal fro groups and start in October this year!
The tours can be pre-booked and you have the choice of The Little Princes, Prisoners and Executions or White Tower and Chapel of St John, these fantastic tours last fro around 45 minute, with plenty of time to question you private guide on route!
The tour costs £120 plus VAT per guide and this coupled with our special deal to London from SO, BH and PO postcodes for £495 makes a great way of getting your group to London and having a great day out! Whilst you are there we could also do a mystery tour of London!
Warwick Castle
In April 2009 Warwick Castle are holding an exhibition marking the 500th Anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne! You will see some of the most important items which have survived including the Royal Collection and St George’s Chapel archives!
Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace are going to be displaying a special array of dresses and jewels worn by The Queen on official visits to The Commonwealth countries. They also have a special summer opening of the state rooms and they are also celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the London Declaration of 1949, this was the act that recognised the British Sovereign as the head of the Commonwealth! You can visit between January and April when The Queen will be resident at Sandringham and Windsor.
Hampton Court Palace
Hampton Court Palace are also focusing on Henry VIII’s 500th Anniversary of taking to the throne with a series of events from Easter 2009 onwards.
Leeds Castle
From the 1st December to 4th Janaury you should really try and visit Leeds Castle! With the inspiration of the Nutcracker Suite, sugar plum fairies, candy canes and seasonal treats you are guaranteed to have a wonderful winter experience! Santa is coming to Leeds Castle on 6th & 7th December and everyday from 13th- 24th December!
Children can make their way through a winter wonderland of twinkling lights and other fairy tale scenes before they meet Santa in his grotto. Special evening openings are happening for the first time! On the 15th, 16th, 17th and 22nd December it will be open from 4pm-6pm with the enchantment of lights highlighting the castle and the grounds.
Inside the castle there will be scenes from the Nutcracker Suite complete with vignette performances by young dancers! The evening openings start with your magical walk through the illuminated Wood Garden and includes a timed slot to tour the castle, with characters from the ballet coming to life in four rooms. Hot chocolate, winter punch and treats will be available for the Children. The castle shop will stay open and will be full of sparkling inspiration for your last minute presents.
Then you will fly back to the car park on board the ice and snow express land train!
